Additional Information

The DGPA will be hosting a Comedy Night on November 20, 2025.

The event is being held at the South Common Rec Room, located at 1725 99 St NW, Edmonton. Doors will open at 6pm and the show will start at 7:00pm. Prior to the event, we will have 50/50 sales and sell raffle tickets for various prizes.


Estimated total profit for this fundraiser is between $4,000 - $4,500


Participation Requirements:  

Every athlete must meet the following requirements to qualify for a share of the profits:

  • Complete the intent to participate.
  • Sell a minimum of 8 tickets to qualify for 50/50 and raffle profits. If we end up with more than 12 participants in this fundraiser, this number will decrease accordingly. Tickets are credited to each athlete when the purchaser inputs the athlete's name upon checkout.
  • We need 4 volunteers to help with the 50/50. Volunteers will arrive at the the venue at 5:45 to sell 50/50 and raffle tickets from 6:00 - 7:00pm. All sales will be completed on square terminals. After the show, volunteers will be required to help distribute the prizes to the raffle winners. This should wrap up by 9:30pm. Volunteers will receive a complimentary ticket to the show.


Allocation of Funds:  

Ticket revenue will go to the athlete based on how many tickets the athlete themself sold. Example: Your athlete sells 10 out of 100 tickets sold they get 10% of the total profit. 


The 50/50 and raffle profits will be distributed equally among all participants who meet the minimum ticket requirement of this fundraiser.


Raffle

There is no requirement to collect raffle items, however, the more items we have, the larger our return will be. We strongly encourage everyone to go out and ask businesses for donations for this event. 


Donation items need to be turned into the DGPA no later than Wednesday, November 14th, 2025.

We are offering an EARLY BIRD PRICE of $70 for 2 tickets until October 20!

Yes, the success of this event relies on us selling tickets for the event, and to increase participation in the 50/50 and raffle. Each person will be required to sell 8 tickets.


There is a spot for the purchaser to include the Athlete name who sold them the ticket. Please ensure your purchaser knows this and inputs your athlete's name when checking out.


We will be accepting raffle items until November 14, 2025.
